The R2 project/product was originating from a simpler research-support implementation at sarkinen.com/johan/research/ (opens in new tab/window).

Purposes include simplifying

finding articles
saving references to articles, including (e.g.) title, source, date published, by whom, etc.
organizing articles - into different categories depending on interest
searching
distribution - depending on organizing above

It's NOT as incorporated in COMGT's other web pages to conserve screen real estate.

Version History

Note: this is in beta development mode. The following is still under development:

General access to privileged JavaScript-based features. Currently web browser must be manually configured (instructions are internal, not commonly available from us) [CR#1]. What this means is (e.g.) button for retrieving information doesn't correctly work w/o special configuration.
Database for Site menu - user-editable, personalized (users DB, menu-DB). [CR#2]
Categories/Groups - handling (e.g. 'Finance', 'Mac', 'Security', ...) - group sites/sources into categories for special searches. [CR#3]
Database for findings, with button to store found information, both ref and info (possible). [CR#4]

Also, as more intended for internal use, user documentation is limited to what's described on this page.
